My knuckles are white from clutching at these threads.
They dig into my skin and people have begun asking me about this strange trail of droplets that I’m leaving behind.
There is no home to return to, just this never-ending forrest and in here, I’m beginning to think it’s safer to travel alone.
Even with the obstacles.
The stones, branches and thorns.
I am drawn headlong through the forrest.
It guides me, comforts me.
My body may be terrified but the forrest is irresistible.
Fall to your knees.
Pay your respects.
Empty yourself in the meadow.
Offer your illness to the forrest and be healed.
